SME Education Foundation Scholarship, 2019-2020 for U.S. and Canadian Students. The SME Education Foundation is pleased to offer applications for students for 2019-2020 session.
The scholarship is exclusively available for students who are willing to take up a degree in engineering courses closely connected to manufacturing or a technology field or study related to manufacturing.
The foundation will award scholarship worth of $1,000 – $6,000 which can be spent on tuition, books or lab/course charges related to attaining a technical or engineering education.
The SME Education Foundation Scholarship is available for U.S. and Canadian Students who are pursuing a degree in qualifying major courses.
The SME Education Foundation prepares, inspires and supports manufacturing career and opportunities for students at all level.
Originated by SME in 1979, the foundation has awarded more than $33 million in grants, scholarships, and awards and has been part of many student outreaches and education programs through its partnerships with foundations, corporations, organizations, and donors.
SME Education Foundation Scholarship Application
Applications Deadline: February 1, 2019
Course Levels: Senior High school, undergraduates, and postgraduate degrees in advanced manufacturing and related fields at two- and four-year colleges.
Study discipline: Engineering discipline or any related to manufacturing or a technology field of study.
Scholarship Award/inclusion: Scholarships award given is approximately $1,000 – $6,000 and can be used for tuition and other basics related to attaining a technical or engineering education.
The SME Education Foundation Scholarship also includes one (1) award in the worth of $40,000 and Three (3) scholarships worth of $20,000 each, all bills payable over four years.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:
To qualify, these are the conditions the applicant must meet.
- Applicants must be from the United States or Canada.
- Applicants Must be senior high school graduates, studying-undergraduate or a postgraduate student who will be registering as a part-time or full-time student of accredited colleges or universities in the United States or Canada.
- Applicant must be a resident of United State of America or Canada or must possess a green card with the U.S. or Canadian student visa.
- Must have a good academic grade, a minimum grade of 3.0
- Must be pursuing a degree in a qualifying course
