USA International Middle and High School Students – 8th Annual Student Film Contest Award. The International Ocean Film Festival (IOFF) is happy to invite International Middle and High School Students to participate in The 8th Annual Student Film Competition.
This contest is open to all middle school and high school students from grade 6to 12 all around the world.
The contest is designed to provide young students with the opportunity to tell their experience about the ocean while uncovering and enriching their skills as film producers.
International Ocean Film Festival
The top three winners for each category, the middle school and high school will be given a prize and have their films showed at the 16th Yearly International Ocean Film Festival on Sunday, March 10, 2019.
Opening to middle school and high school candidates around the globe, the Student Film Competition (SFC) gives room for students to share their stories about the ocean and study the intriguing filmmaking-world.
The organisation, the International Ocean Film Festival was formerly known as the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival. It used to be a film festival held in San Francisco in the USA, that features films about marine life, coastal cultures, the ocean, and preservation.
Applications closing date: January 21, 2019.
Competition Level: The scholarship is open to grades 6 through 12 of middle school and high school students
Course of Study: The scholarship will be awarded in all subjects.
Scholarship value/inclusion: The top three winners in each category (middle school and high school) will be eligible to win cash prizes worth $500. The top qualifiers in each category will be given the opportunity to have their films viewed on the big screen during the Student Film Competition (SFC) on Sunday.

Requirements for the Scholarship:
To be qualified, the applicants must be able to provide all given criteria:
Applicants from all around the globe are eligible to apply.
Applicant must be a student of middle or high school students who are in grade 6 to 12.
Applicant must submit a fill on the subject matter regarding the ocean not more than five minutes in duration.
All applicants should not forget that films are about the ocean
All applicants’ films must not be more than 5 minutes in length
Films must be exclusively made by an individual student or a group of students
Film Contest For High School Students
Films must be more than five minutes, though, it can be less, and the films should focusing on one of the following topics relating to oceans
- Environments of Ocean
- Wildlife of Ocean
- Science of Ocean
- Cultures of Ocean
- Nationally based Marine Sanctuaries
- Sports on Ocean
- Ocean industries
- History of Ocean
Ocean conservation should also include ocean-related issues such as pollution, climate change, marine debris, overfishing.
